Oklahoma RV Rentals

Oklahoma RV Rentals from GetRV.com is a great way to travel the wide open spaces of Oklahoma. In this state your visit promises to reward you with lots of beautiful scenery and fun things to do. Visit any of the many state parks that offer campsites and RV hookups for you who love to travel at your leisure. There are many beautiful and hospitality friendly RV Parks and campgrounds available many must see areas. Natural Falls State Park, in the Ozark Highlands region, features a 77-foot waterfall cascading into a serene and intimate V-shaped valley below. You can park your RV at sites within the park and view the falls from an observation platform. There’s a picnic pavilion nearby with tables and grills for your enjoyment and amenities offering outdoor activities as well. Check out Little Sahara State Park, south of Waynoka, which offers over 1600 acres of rideable sand dunes reaching up to 75 feet. Dune buggy not included. Here, too, you may park your Class “A” RV or Class “C” RV and take advantage of the refreshments and seasonal concessions. Within driving distance of this park you can also visit Alabaster Caverns State Park, which is a 200-acre area featuring a ¾-mile cavern formed of alabaster (a form of gypsum). It represents the largest natural gypsum cave in the world that is open to the public. Also within driving distance is Great Salt Plains State Park. Here is situated Great Salt Plains Lake, which covers 8,690 surface acres with 41 miles of shoreline. It is a shallow, salty lake with fishing opportunities for catfish and other fish varieties. Go digging for your own “hourglass selenite” crystals at the Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge, which sits adjacent to the park. Turner Falls is a popular summer destination featuring natural swimming pools, springs, caves, and a magnificent 77-foot waterfall. As it is also RV friendly, you can hookup to the services available and enjoy the rest of your time in this wonderful park. On the cultural side, there are numerous museums and centers featuring Native American Art and History. The Southern Plains Indian Museum in Anadarko displays a rich collection of art and many other items possessed by the tribal peoples of Kiowa, Comanche, Kiowa Apache, Southern Cheyenne, Southern Arapaho, Wichita, Caddo, Delaware, and Ft. Sill Apache. Items like clothing, shields, weapons, baby carriers, toys, and thinks of the like. Spiro Mounds Archaeological Center offers an exceptional tour as Oklahoma’s only archaeological park. Here are 12 excavated earthen burials and ceremonial mounds of nearly 60 tribes and thousands of religious and ornamental objects dating between 600 and 1450 A.D. The Museum of the Great Plains features exhibits and special collections of over 3,200 pieces of Native American artifacts. This museum has been awarded for its spotlight of the cultural and natural history of the Great Plains of North America. Children on your trip will have a wonderful time visiting The Harn Homestead in Oklahoma City. Comprised of 10 wooded acres it features various structures, including the1897 Stoney Point one-room schoolhouse. Here the entire family can become educated about the life of Territorial Oklahoma (1889-1907). Then visit Frontier City Theme Park also in Oklahoma City. Have a blast as you stroll through an authentic 1880’s western town. Experience the famous Gunfight at OK Corral, and don’t miss Frontier City’s live shows. Then explore the entire park and enjoy the exciting rollercoaster’s, river raft ride, the Time Warp, Mystery River Log Flume, and so much more! The little tykes will truly enjoy Paul Bunyan’s Tiny Timber Town, with rides just for them. Music and special events are also featured seasonally. For some educational hands-on excitement in arts and science, take the family to Leonardo’s Discover Warehouse in Enid. Here they will touch a real dinosaur egg, slide down a 3-story slide, build their own castle in the carpentry shop, get lost in a variety of bridges, tunnels, and mazes, and create their own style of music in the music lab. They will also explore many scientific principles and travel to the moon in a simulated space shuttle.
